inscribed (personalized) and signed by author on half-title page, 307 pages, frontis, brown cloth over boards with horse illustrations on front board and spine, gilt titles. In poor condition---good reading copy only; text block is good and binding is fairly tight. A collection of horse racing stories. The author's inscription to James Keene reads: A typical "brave heart," with esteem and compliments of the author with New York and date following signature.
